In the hey-day* of Burlesque and Vaudeville, female dancers were racy and bawdy. Women delighted in expressing their sexuality in a cheeky, fun way, and men applauded their freedom to do so.
Burlesque has now faded into memory, along with the daring bravado of the women of that time, the beautiful costumes of the dancers, and the smoke-filled theaters.
